Sheringham fc is one of the oldest and respected
Clubs in the County having been formed in 1897.
In the 70's the Club were very successful and won the coveted Sterry Cup
and reached the illustrious Norfolk Senior Cup Final but lost it's senior status in 1985.
The Club also lost it's Ground in 1988 and was near to folding, playing at the local school
until 1996 when a purpose built Ground was built.
Manager John Kowalyk started his ambitious plans back in the 2002 season
with a target of Premier football within 5 years.
After 3 successive back to back Championship titles,(a record
in the Anglian Combination history) the Shannocks under the guidance of Chairman Chris Ayers have returned to the Premier
Division after a 35 year absence. This was achieved with 2 years to spare.
To make further progress on the field, this year see's the well respected Alan
Arber join the Management team. His wealth of experience at Ridgeons and Anglian Combination as well as representing
England at amateur level will give the Shannocks some invaluable experience in their quest to establish themselves
in the Premier Division.
The Club are very ambitious to climb the pyramid system and to improve the Weybourne
facilities although the Club house and Pitch are one of the best in the league.
Sheringham fc are a very competitive but
friendly Club and does it's best to offer all Teams, Officials and Spectators a warm welcome.
